‘This story is not about a personal dream that came true, nor a story about how I have succeeded because I believe in God. This story is for all of us; it is God’s story.

‘As a student, I was not good at studying and I was judged because of my school grades, sometimes suffering beatings. I knew I did not want to be such a teacher. During my first year of teacher training, I didn’t have a great sense of duty. I was happy to pass my first teaching exam, but I failed the second level. I was discouraged but prepared again with hope and trust in God. Finally, I passed the exam and qualified as a Japanese teacher!

‘Now, I have been happily teaching for six years. I want to share my experience of God’s love with the students and help them recognise their value, giving them hope for the future. With this attitude, I encounter each person in my small classroom, where some students may feel insignificant.

'Through my pain, God allows me to see the students’ pain. God never gave up on me when I failed. God has been with me every moment of my life. I trust in God who fills us with what is good and leads us to his Kingdom.
