The General Calls The Salvation Army to Prayer

General Shaw Clifton has issued calls to prayer for peace and for the victims of sex trade trafficking

GENERAL Shaw Clifton has issued the following calls to prayer:

Call to Prayer for Peace – Sunday 19 September 2010

'They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any more' Micah 4:3 (New International Version).

Once again The Salvation Army is calling its people to prayer for peace. The nation of Papua New Guinea has set an example in some of its towns and villages. People have exchanged their weapons for Bibles, with the encouragement of The Salvation Army. Pray for our Army of peace, our Army without guns, that we might set an example of peace in the world.

Call to Prayer for Victims of Sex Trade Trafficking – Sunday 26 September 2010

'You drive the women of my people from their pleasant homes. You take away my blessing from their children for ever' Micah 2:9 (New International Version).

Sex trade trafficking is still a gross offence upon the earth. Please use this weekend to raise awareness, raise your voices and raise funds against this outrage.
