On the 14th of April 2024, the "Defenders of Justice" session 2022-2024 cadets of the Salvation Army at Central Corps, Gurdaspur Division of India Northern Territory were ordained and commissioned. The previous day, a Covenant Service for the cadets was held, where they signed their covenant with God and the Salvation Army, and a private meeting took place with various Salvation Army officials.
The Ordination and Commissioning meeting was held the next morning, and attended by Colonel Vanlalfela Chawnghlut, Territorial Commander and THQ Staff. The cadets declared their faith and were given Ordination and Commissioning by the Territorial Commander and received certificates from other Salvation Army officials.
In addition to the Ordination and Commissioning, Graduation and Silver Star meetings were organized on the same day. The parents of the cadets were honored, and the new Lieutenants were awarded B.Th. Degrees. The event concluded with a valedictory speech by Lieutenant Vikas and a blessing for the new Lieutenants.
All in all, it was a joyous occasion for the cadets as they received their appointments, and they were blessed and congratulated by all.
