Pray for South America West Territory

We give thanks to God and continue to pray for:

• New opportunities to spread the gospel with new openings in Viña del Mar in Chile and Viñami, Ventanilla and Pachacutec in Peru.
• New families coming to Christ and linked to the corps. In 2023, 282 new families came to faith and connected with The Salvation Army and in 2024, to date, 132 new families.
• our Territorial Womens Ministries Camp 2024 which took place in October. Women from Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia gathered together for the first time in eight years under the theme Connected (based on John 15). We are also expecting 500 women in Ancon-Peru to gather following a Territorial Officers’ Councils under the theme Send Me!
• The 19 candidates who are expected to go into officer training in 2025.
• The ten new Love feeding centres where people can find food and salvation in Jesus.
• The three new offices in Peru, Ecuador and Chile to support vulnerable women. These offices have been opened in response to the Battle Cry with one due to open in Bolivia as well.
• The continuing initiatives which seek to ensure all our Salvation Army officers are able to obtain 100% of their allowance.

Pray for Germany, Lithuania and Poland Territory

Prayers of praise and thanksgiving:

• We give thanks to God for the recent officers and leaders councils and the territorial congress led by General Lyndon Buckingham and Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham. We thank God that the Holy Spirit’s presence was felt, people made new commitments and people were encouraged and uplifted by this time of fellowship and worship.
• We give thanks for the commissioning of two new lieutenants and the start of training for two new cadets. Please pray for the new officers, cadets and their families.
• We give thanks for the commitment and dedication of soldiers, officers, employees and volunteers in Germany, Lithuania and Poland who show the love of Jesus to others through their actions.

Prayer requests:

• For the encouragement of seeing lives transformed by the power of Jesus in all three countries of the territory.
• For strength and grace for our officers, many of whom bear heavy workloads and juggle many responsibilities.
• For more people to offer for officership and local officership.
• For resources to care for the many Ukrainian refugees who still need assistance.
• Our personnel are often isolated as they serve significant distances from each other. Please pray for wisdom as we strengthen systems of support for corps, centres and community-based work.

Pray for Angola Territory

Please pray for:

• The spiritual growth of The Salvation Army in Angola, both growth in the spiritual lives of individuals and the church.
• Numerical growth - One Wins One is the challenge to Salvationists in the Angola Territory.
• Women’s ministry - pray that God will bring renewal to the spiritual lives of women in the territory through this work. Please pray particularly for the finances.
• Our schools - pray that God will provide a good team, capable of teaching effectively, so that the young people attending our schools will be set up for a good future.
• The health of active and retired officers
• Those who are called to serve within The Salvation Army, that they will respond to God’s call. Please pray that God will raise up people to fulfil roles within the territory, particularly a territorial youth secretary and candidates officer, a principal for the officer training college, financial secretary and development officer.
• The growing number of abandoned children and rising crime in the capital city of Luanda.
• The evaluation and preparation of the territorial strategic plan. In February, there will be a meeting in Luanda to evaluate the plan.

Pray for Italy and Greece Territory

Praise:

• We thank God for a successful inauguration of the territorial governance board in October. Please pray now for the work of implementing governance thoroughly and effectively.
• We thank God for the keen interest and thoughtful input of officers and leaders as territorial strategy is determined. Please pray for Spirit-led direction.

Please pray for:

• The continued fostering of relationships that have developed through various special Christmas ministries.
• God’s continued movement in the hearts of individuals who are considering his will for their lives, especially in relation to the various pathways to service within The Salvation Army.
• The Greek Region, as personnel continue to adjust to new ministry responsibilities and explore growth opportunities.
• God's guidance for every ministry and activity planned for the coming year, and for lasting spiritual fruit from them.
