Battle Cry

A global initiative aimed at engaging women and girls in local social justice action and community-led response.

Battle Cry

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be salt and light in our communities, bringing hope and healing to broken places.

Battle Cry is an invitation to rally your team of friends, mums, daughters and colleagues together, and consider how to serve those in need as a uniquely placed and gifted group of women. Work to your strengths – if you can sew, then sew; if you can teach, then teach; if you can cook, then cook; if you can be a host, then host. Use your skills to connect and do something beautiful for others!

Headshot of Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham

'When we look at ministry to women in The Salvation Army, we expect nothing less than to see women creatively responding to the needs of others with counter-cultural grace.

'As is the way of the Kingdom, we each have a part to play. Start simple. Start small. Start with what you know ... Your contribution to creating a better world is also needed.'

Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham
