In an effort to increase involvement of the community in its traditional activities this Christmas season, The Salvation Army will be holding an area-wide recruiting event at seven Biggby Coffee locations on Saturday, October 19 from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and at Papa’s Dogs & More on Friday, October 25 from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. The purpose of the recruiting events will be to enlist volunteers to ring bells at over 50 Red Kettle site locations in the Grand Rapids area in November and December. Information regarding additional volunteer opportunities will also be available at the two event locations.

Individuals who sign-up in person will receive a free cup of coffee – courtesy of Biggby Coffee. Papa’s Dogs & More is located at 2996 28th Street SW, Grandville.
