On Saturday, March 23, The Salvation Army Fulton Heights Corps Community Center concluded its fourth season of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading with an Upward Celebration! The event is an opportunity for families to come together to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of their children. Dinner was provided and each child received a gift as well as a trophy to commemorate their achievements. Basketball players received their own Upward basketball and cheerleaders received a satchel bag. Coaches were thanked for their hard work and dedication throughout the season during a time of devotion and reflection. A free throw contest for the children resulted in the awarding of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons to winners in each age group. In total, 117 attended the Upward Celebration! The Salvation Army would like to thank everyone involved in the program and thank them for another great season.
