Young Professionals Group Luncheon Success
The Salvation Army Action Group luncheon on March 27 sponsored by Crowe Horwath LLP was a great success, thanks to the 80 young professionals who attended. The event featured a panel discussion on volunteering featuring Eva Aguirre Cooper, Carrie Boer, Phil Catlett and Troy LaHuis. and hosted by Shelley Irwin. Action Group members also shared ways that volunteers can get involved with the Action Group by serving on our leadership committee and volunteering at events such as Donut Day, Army of Readers, and Camp Clean Up.
The cost of attending the luncheon was to donate an item for our food pantry. We were able to raise over $250, as well as 80 food and personal needs items for our pantry. The Salvation Army Social Services Food Pantry assists about 15,000 individuals each year, and will be able to better serve needs because of these donations.
We would like to thank each of our attendees, sponsors, and participants for making the event so impactful and memorable. You can view photos from the event at Facebook.com/SAActionGroup.
