Volunteering is the very foundation on which The Salvation Army is built.  Over 44,000 individuals volunteered for The Salvation Army last year, providing more than $4,954,100 in volunteer labor to the Western Michigan Northern Indiana Division. Volunteers are deeply appreciated for all of the help they provide to The Salvation Army. Working with The Salvation Army as a volunteer provides a wonderful experience and allows opportunities to give back to our community. Partnering with us in our mission to positively impact our neighborhoods is so important. Please know that the volunteering you are doing enables us to reach the unreachable in Western Michigan and Northern Indiana. Your help, in whatever capacity you are willing to give, is greatly appreciated.

If volunteering is something of interest, The Salvation Army offers many different opportunities to do so that fit any personality and desire. Whether it is with volunteering at a food pantry, joining the Emergency Disaster Services team, mentoring youth in a character building program, or performing one of many more volunteer opportunities, everyone can find their niche when giving back to the community.
