Congratulations to Mrs. Moe’s class from Buchanan Elementary for winning the 2013 Kettle Creation Contest! As the winning class, they have won a pool party at The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.

The Kettle Creation Contest was a partnership between The Salvation Army, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and 5th grade students from Grand Rapids Public Schools and National Heritage Academies to see which classroom could create the best kettle!  The kettles were on display at the Grand Rapids Art Museum between November 29 and December 8. We would like to send a special thank you to all of the participating 5^th grade students and their teachers for the time, talent, and creativity they gave to this contest.
