Greetings from the Philippines from Major Mike McKee
Things here are in the process of moving from the emergency phase of the response (large distributions of food, water, etc.) to the beginnings of the recovery phase where homes are repaired or rebuilt, normal government functions are restored (schools, health care / clinics, etc.) And so on. We have been getting heavy rain for over a week and this is hampering the relief efforts and adding to the misery of families sheltering in tents or in homes with damaged roofs, etc.
I’ve included a photo of a common sight here – cars and trucks that have been thrown around like toys.
Please continue to pray for the people here as well as for our efforts to follow the Lord’s leading as we do our level best to help bring healing and hope to the people here.
God Bless You!
