Grand Rapids Hosts National Advisory Board
The National Advisory Board of The Salvation Army was able to experience first-hand the special brand of hospitality that only West Michigan can provide during their recent board meeting in Grand Rapids. Kicking-off the two-day event was a Community Leaders Breakfast on Thursday, September 19 in the Ambassador Ballroom West of the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids. An invitation-only Gala Welcome event was also planned in the evening at the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The National Advisory Board meets three times a year, having held their April meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. The Board is composed of some of the most notable individuals in public service, including Laura Bush, former First Lady and Charlotte Anderson, Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President and National Advisory Board Chair.
