College Kettle Challenge Trophy Awarded
Traveling Trophy Makes its First Home at Grand Valley State University
Grand Valley State University was awarded the College Kettle Challenge traveling trophy – along with bragging rights – during The Salvation Army’s first annual College Kettle Challenge! The challenge required college students to ring bells during a designated challenge week and to host an Online Red Kettle in the weeks following in hopes of raising the most funds in the name of charity. Participating colleges included Davenport University, Aquinas College and Grand Valley State University, who rang bells combined for 111 hours and raised a collective $3,346.50 towards our Red Kettle Campaign. Individually raised funds listed below.
- Davenport $495.70
- Aquinas $1,246.28
- GVSU $1,604.52
Thank you to all three colleges for your enthusiastic participation! To register your college for our 2013 College Kettle Challenge, please contact Angela DeVries at 616-459-3433 ext. 1184.
