EasterCrosses

What comes to mind when thinking of Easter morning? Is it the image of a child searching for a hidden egg? Is it an image of joy and family happiness?  At the Salvation Army, instead of finding candy eggs, our image is of our journey towards the Lord.

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.  – Jeremiah 29:13

Like a child seeking their Easter basket, we must have faith that our Lord will be there when we look for him.  Like a child finding their basket and exclaiming with joy, we must be excited for Christ’s love for us.  Christ suffered on the cross and died for our sins so that we could be forgiven.  This is the joyous gift that we remember on Easter Sunday.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  - John 3:16

This gift is not something hidden inside a basket for one lucky seeker, but available to all of God’s children.  Look for Him, and He will come.

We wish you and your family a wonderful Easter!
