One book two book red book blue book!

The Salvation Army Action Group, along with the Peter C. and Emajean Cook Foundation, is holding their second annual Army of Readers event to celebrate reading in Grand Rapids!  They’re hoping to spread literary happiness to over 1,000 children, and are looking for 50 young professional and college student volunteers to help!

The event will take place on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am.  An orientation session will be held that morning to give volunteers time to practice reading their assigned book and to learn how to administer a fun-filled classroom activity related to their book before transporting to different classrooms in the area.
