Red Shield Event Raises Over $100,000 to Support Local Programs and Services
May 3 was the date and the Goei Center was the venue for the 2nd Annual Red Shield Event which netted over $100,000 to support ongoing programs and services in Kent County. Clare De Graaf was the keynote speaker and shared a message of "Doing the Most Good" based on his best-selling book, The 10 Second Rule: Following Jesus Made Simple with over 175 guests in attendance.
The Salvation Army also celebrated local businessman Dan Pfeiffer and media partner WOOD TV8 for their years of unwavering support and for leadership roles in numerous community-based initiatives. Clare De Graaf and Dan Pfeiffer were both honored with the "Trinity Award" and WOOD TV8 received the "Others" award.
