From ringing a bell at Christmas to working in a food pantry, to joining the Emergency Disaster Services team, volunteers from all walks of life support us through a wide variety of activities. The Salvation Army owes its strength of service to the diversity of our programs – many of these programs are designed specifically to involve local volunteers to meet community needs.

Last year, nearly 3.3 million people volunteered their time, talents, and resources to assist The Salvation Army's work. Closer to home, over 2,000 individuals in the West Michigan Northern Indiana Division donated nearly 65,500 hours of service to help us help our neighbors in need. Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our promise to America of "Doing the Most Good."

Your time is valuable – consider donating it to The Salvation Army today. To get involved, visit our divisional volunteer page or contact your local Salvation Army to see what opportunities are available. Thank you!
