Volunteers Spread Cheer with 2,000 Donuts
On June 3, National Donut Day, The Salvation Army’s Action Group of Young Professionals (TAG) and over 40 volunteers gave away 2,000 Krispy Kreme donuts to local businesses, organizations and individuals as a token of thanks and appreciation for the good they are doing in our community. Businesses and organizations were nominated by the community for “Doing the Most Good” in the Grand Rapids area. Over 60 organizations were visited including Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, Grand Rapids Public Schools, Family Promise, Feeding America West Michigan and the Grand Rapids Urban League.
We would like to thank Krispy Kreme for donating 2,000 donuts, Crossroads Bible Church for hosting volunteers, Donut Day volunteers who went all over Kent County spreading cheer with donuts and The Salvation Army Action Group for their hard work in putting this event together!
