Internship opportunities
We are currently proposing and anticipate starting an internship programme within The Salvation Army EU Affairs Office. We would like to offer The Salvation Army territories/ commands the opportunity for young people to have an internship with the EU Affairs Office in Brussels. This may also be suitable for students taking a gap year and/ or young people involved in service corps placements. It is our desire for The Salvation Army to develop its capacity and knowledge to work in the area of advocacy and lobbying at national and EU level, focussing on the current issues the Office is already dealing with such as anti-human trafficking, Roma, refugees and migrants and poverty generally. The EU Affairs Office will be able to offer exposure to European level platforms, the workings of the EU and its institutions, and an interesting work programme. We would also be able to provide accommodation. We would anticipate that the territories sending the intern would cover other costs, such as pocket money and travel costs. A good level of English would be necessary. Applicants should be 18 years above. More information will come out soon such as a start date and the length of the internship… Watch this space for more information
