On 7th June, The EU Affairs Office of The Salvation Army hosted a prayer breakfast on the issue of human trafficking. Participants came from various churches and Christian organisations working on this issue. The aim of the event was to pray for the victims, the perpetrators and those working in the field and to acknowledge our limits in fighting such a huge international crime by lifting up our requests in prayer. The Salvation Army has a worldwide network working on anti-human trafficking but we also recognise the need to network with other churches and NGOs to strengthen each other’s work. The initiative was very well received and good contacts were made.
