The primary focus of the event was to explore reasons Roma still remain underrepresented in the labour market and to identify good practice in transitioning from education to employment. The combination of various factors, such as poverty, low level of education and skills, antigypsyism/racism, discrimination in both education and employment are serious barriers for Roma fulfilling their potential not only in the labour market but in their lives.
