On 24-25 November, Riga, Latvia, Eurodiaconia invited its members to an event to explore key challenges, and to reflect on effective responses, relating to social protection in the Baltic states. Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia face high rates of poverty and social exclusion. The two-day conference will reflect on the current state of play from different national angles, and discuss the relevance of EU governance instruments such as the European Semester and the European Pillar of Social Rights. Furthermore, participants will discuss the transferability of existing and highly innovative initiatives in the realm of debt aid, labour market integration and poverty reduction to the Baltic context.

People who are likely to find it most interesting would be those involved in the provision of social and healthcare services in the Baltic states.

An invitation and draft agenda can be found here. Please register here.
