The European Commission has published the Erasmus+ programme guide for 2017. The programme guide includes information regarding content and deadlines for project applications. Erasmus+ is the EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020.

The Erasmus+ budget has increased by almost EUR 200 million since 2016.  It is interesting for The Salvation Army to note that there will again be a special focus on encouraging projects that support social inclusion, notably of refugees and migrants, as well as projects that prevent radicalisation. Particular attention will be also given to support projects that train Vocational education and training (VET) staff in such areas as training refugee children, intercultural classrooms, teaching youngsters in their second language, classroom tolerance and diversity.

  • Find the 2017 programme guide here (EN) and your relevant national agency here (EN).
  • Further and more detailed information on the new Erasmus+ developments can be found here (EN).

If you have benefitted from Erasmus+ funding, we would be interested to know what kind of project was supported so please let us know by sending a short email to Catherine at cmallet@armeedusalut.be
