Video on the refugee crisis – The Salvation Army in Greece speaks out about appalling situation

In a powerful and moving video, National AHT contact person for Greece, Major Maria Konti-Galinou speaks about the situation of the refugee crisis and the appalling conditions in which refugees have been left. She stresses the increased risk for vulnerable refugees to be tricked by traffickers. According to the UNHCR, 50,000 refugees have already arrived in Greece. There are more and more reports of escalating violence, rape and abuse. ‘We forget that these are not numbers but there are little children!’ says Major Konti-Galinou.
