The EU Affairs Office recently endorsed operational and policy recommendations  by Missing Children Europe following a conference entitled “Lost in migration”. The recommendations highlight the urgent need to improve the situation of migrant children in Europe and to offer them a fair chance for a better future, including specific recommendations on reception and accommodation, more efficient international cooperation and training and resources for professionals.
The conference conclusions, including 10 operational and policy recommendations and 7 cross-cutting recommendations on the overall policy framework, data and funding were endorsed by a large number of civil society, NGOs, international organisations, politicians and academics. The Recommendations have now been shared with EU ministers and institutional representatives.
