A project called ‘Professionalization of The Salvation Army’, funded from the European Social Fund was launched on the 1st September 2016 in the Czech Republic. The goal of the project is professionalization of The Salvation Army in areas of strategy of the organisation, management of human resources and the quality of services.

More specifically, this project the updating of the strategic plan of The Czech Salvation Army for the term of 2018–2022, including the creation of communication strategy in the organisation and the methods for monitoring and evaluation of goals. It is also about setting the system of management of human resources and its reinforcement in the internal regulations, including creating a system of education and development of people within the organisation and the analysis of current state of evaluation of employees, motivation and rewards. In the area of quality, methodists of quality and some social workers will focus on creating and putting into practice the methods for securing satisfaction of clients of social services and the creation of a system of monitoring and evaluation of social services regarding their quality.

The realization of the project is planned from September 2016 until August 2018. Ilona Buzkova is the National Project Coordinator.
