05 October 2016

The Salvation Army is invited to a two-day conference to discuss challenges and options to finance quality social services. The conference will take place from on 27 until 28 October 2016 at the offices of their German member Diakonie Deutschland in Berlin. The event is co-organised with two member organisations, the Helsinki Deaconess Institute (HDI) and Diakonie Deutschland.

The meeting aims to build Eurodiaconia members’ capacity on the changes operated in funding procedures. On the other hand, it wants to help them shape messages towards funding authorities regarding which are the funding frameworks best suited to achieve the goal of accessible, affordable and quality social service provision. In particular, stress will be made on funding mechanisms other than public procurement. For more information and registration see here. Some financial help is available for travel/ accommodation to attend this event.
