- There is a gender divide in access to and use of digital technology in rural areas, with poorer access for women and girls.
- Stakeholders from all groups contributed to a discussion on potential political principles to advocate for gender responsive digital skills, in particular in the global South.
What was of particular significance to share with The Salvation Army globally?
- All speakers who presented demonstrated the need for exposure of girls to ICT at an early stage, even at pre-school level
- There is a shortage of teachers able to teach ICT in schools in some countries and more need to be trained.
